Tijuana 2010 Mission's Trip Complete!

Sorry no other updates until now. On day 3 until just now, we have been non-stop going! There were a couple days that I felt like I'm not going to make it today, I'm exhausted... But God filled me up with his love, joy and glory to make it through in power! We were getting up at 7 am, leaving at 9 am and returning at 11 pm one night and 2am the next night. Whew!

We just returned home and i have never been so thankful for a hot shower, clean air, carpet and a comfy bed!

We are truly blessed to live the way that we live! Most people have no idea of the poverty that exists... We take for granted the luxuries of our comforts...

We are blessed to have been born into the country and families we were born in to. There are so many people out there who didn't have a choice and still don't.

When you go to sleep tonight, THANK GOD FOR THE ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD THAT DOESN'T LEAK, THE CARPET THAT YOU GET TO WALK ON, THE HOT WATER THAT YOU GET TO TAKE A SHOWER IN, THE BEAUTIFUL SMELLS OUTSIDE, THE FOOD YOU ATE TODAY, THE TV YOU WATCHED AND THE CAR YOU DROVE...

We had an amazing time on our Mission's trip! It's really impossible to put into words all that I got from this trip. We prayed for people and they were healed! We loved people and they were set free! So many people I would hug didn't want to let go. It was so amazing just to love on people. We equipped the churches and the people with what we have so they can continue on after we left. they were so excited to see God move in such astounding ways. And they were reading to get out and get people saved.

We went to Revolucion Street. This is Tijuana's Red Light District. We held an event there on a stage, worship testimonies and healings! People got radically touched. They were healed, delivered and saved. A few people on our team actually prayed for a prostitute and her pimp. They accepted Jesus. he then went inside his strip club and brought out 2 more prostitutes so they could be prayed for. Then when they were done being prayed for, they didn't know what to do because they didn't want to go back inside! Come on Jesus!!!

We saw so much poverty. Extreme poverty. They are still happy though. The people were so open to talk to us. Even though we didn't speak that much Spanish. We figured it out. We had amazing translators but they weren't always available.

I personally prayed for people and saw many miracles! I also witnessed many other miracles when other people prayed. The power of Jesus still exists today! Miracles do still happen!

I feel like my level of faith has exploded!! I have always known that anything is possible with God but I have now seen it first hand! And this is just the beginning!! WooHoo!!!

Pictures soon to come!

Tijuana Missions Trip 2010~ Day 2

Tijuana Missions – Day 2
Day 2 was an amazing day! We started our day with pancakes and sausage!
We then had a team meeting. We are split up into 9 teams. Within in these 9 teams we each have a worship team, arts team, children’s team, teachers and preachers. So, we met with our teams, which turned into a wild crazy fun party with a fire tunnel. At the end of the tunnel we declared what we wanted to see for that day.

We had lunch shortly after and then each team was sent out! We had 5 churches to go to and have services at. However, God had a change of plans for our team. Our team stayed behind. We have a neighborhood across the street from our camp that is very, very poor. Before we left, we were meeting and we had an elderly gentleman who works at the camp come to us and ask for prayer. He had a Hernia where his stomach was bulging out. We prayed and the mass in his stomach went completely away!!! Wow!!! The he said he had bronchitis and that was completely healed also! Our team leader had made friends with the local pastor the day before. So, we made a visit to his house. I drove Shawn’s truck up these very steep dirt hills with the biggest potholes you have ever seen. The streets also had giant trenches throughout. So driving was an adventure in itself! We split up into teams and hit the neighborhood. 3 teams went door to door and I was with a team in the truck. We used a bull horn and drove around giving kids candy and balloons. They loved it! The families were very receptive. And I am learning more and more Spanish! We invited everyone to service. We prayed for one man and he said that God told him that he was going to send him someone to help him and he believed it was us. He also said that he saw angels all around the truck. And he actually saw the hand of God on the top of truck. He also saw fire all around our truck. He said that God is protecting you and the Holy Spirit is with you and you can go anywhere you want and be protected… Wow! Wow! Wow!!!

Our service was amazing!! 20 or so adults showed up and about 40 children. We had worship. Our drama team did an amazing, tear jerking drama and then we released the prophetic on them. Each team member was required to step out and say something. Being pushed is a good thing!! And then I had about 5 minutes to preach!! WooHoo!! It was good and God showed up! He loves these people so much! We then went into healing. Everyone got healed! A lady with back problems for years, a girl with a dislocated elbow, stomach problems and an infected leg. On the outreach, two hernias were healed, an ankle was healed, a knee was healed and a girl with epilepsy believes she’s healed!!

We came back to camp. We were all hungry so we piled everyone in the back of the truck and went down to the taco truck. We literally had 15 or so people in the back of the truck… I am officially certified to drive in Mexico!!! Hahahahaha!!!! We ate lots of tacos, prayed for more people. 2 people accepted Jesus at the taco truck!! Ha! The best miracles of the day!!! Imagine the guy at the taco truck, seeing 20 crazy Americans driving up in a truck for tacos at 10:30 at night!!

Tijuana Missions Trip 2010~ Day 1

We're Here!!!
We had quite an event at the border yesterday. Shawn and I drove one of the trucks with a lot of luggage and they wouldn't let us through carrying other people's luggage :( The Mexican police/military are walking around with shot guns.

Long story short.... It finally got worked out 3 hours later, sitting at the border with the mexican inspection... IN MEXICO!

They let us through!!! It was kinda exciting...

Stayed all day today in the compound-surrounded by barbed wire fences (not allowed to leave camp).
Our camp is complete with roosters, goats, dogs, a donkey and turkeys. :~) The roosters were up at 4 am... I guess they don't know when the sun rises. LOL!!!

You are not aloud to flush any toilet paper in any of the toilets. If you accidentally throw it in, you have to fish it out.... YUCK!!!

The food is good. No hot water for showers. We're with 170 revivalists coming to bring Love to Tijuana!!

Tonight we have a service with our gigantic team!! Then off to bed because who's slept?!?! LOL!!

Tomorrow we leave at 2:00 pm to do services at the churches in Tijuana... WooHoo!!! Can't wait!!!

We were able to Skype Jade, Savannah, Tyler and Sanaiya today!! Very cool!!! I know they feel better knowing we're alive... hahaha!!!

We love you all and thank you so much for all of your encouragement, love and support!!

Graham Cooke~ Identity is Everything! Notes from class 2/24/2010

When you know who you are then you know how you're suppose to live.
When Jesus asked the question who do you say I am. He received 4 distorted answers.
He wanted the disciples to know who he really was. This would propel them into who they really are.
Our identity is made up of who we are on earth and how heaven perceives us.
We are known in heaven in a particular way. We have to understand how HE sees us. That is why we have prophesy.
Isaiah 61~He tells them this is how he is known in heaven.
He was letting them know this is who I am when he spoke in Isaiah 61.
The goodness of God is so powerful that it can incinerate anything in you that you don't like.
Jesus said to the disciples that its better if he goes away because then HE can come, meaning the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a genius.
He will lead us into all truth through experience.
He is the persona of the invisible God
We are being transformed into the image of Christ.
What we trust in> in the Kingdom of God is what we will have power in.
Whatever God is, he's relentless at it.
He wants us to know who we are. That's why he gives us prophesy.
3 things we get from knowing our identity
1. Legal authority
2. Gives you a right to rule over wherever you are
3. Gives you the ability to bring peace to wherever you are.

When God shows up and reveals your identity to you, he is raising you up to His view of you. And this gives you elevated status on earth.
When you get a prophesy, you're suppose to use that to fight.
We should be using our prophesy to challenge our circumstances.
He loves to tell you who you are. And then he relates to us that way for the rest of our lives.
If we're not thinking the same way God sees us, then we need to change our thoughts in that area and then change our actions to match God’s.
Our personalities are irrelevant to God. He completely ignores it and then says, nevertheless, I'll be with you.
The worst thing we know about ourselves is completely irrelevant in heaven.
What happens after our persona has been identified to us from God, and then we work with God to adjust our actions. So that our actions match the persona that God has called us.
When we receive prophesy, we need to look at the key words of who we are and where we're going and focus on that.
You cannot change negativity with positivity. You have to practice being who God sees you to be.
You practice being loving and kind until we're brilliant at it.
2 negatives cause a condemnation or an accusation.
Most of the time the first reaction when God is revealing our identity is negative. But this is ok because it’s bringing up the negative inside of us to be removed. Keep speaking the prophesy or identity. Practice being Christ.
All the things God wants to give us can only come to our identity!
Any idiot can get their needs met in the kingdom but only inheritance can come to identity.
The resources in our lives are in trust until we know our identity.
We have unclaimed upgrades to how God sees us.
Moses had a similar internal battle when God called him to deliver Israel. He ignored Moses when he said he wasn't ready and just said I'll be with you.
Exodus 7:1
God tells him that "I have made you" not I will. It was already done. Moses just had to see it himself.
What if fullness and abundance are only linked to our identity?
We need to stop praying like a widow and pray like a BRIDE!!
There's a piece of territory in the spirit that has our name on it.
When you see your identity, you see the resources attached to it.
The when you see something that you want, you say that's what I want right there.
We have to know absolutely who we are in Christ.
When we start to agree with heaven then everything will open to us.
The negative side of our personality is under pressure by the Holy Spirit so that it can be killed with our identity.
So the more that God reveals our identity, the more the negativity is revealed.
The answer to our future is not in our past.
Create a group to call each other up to their identity and the way that heaven sees us.
In the transitional process, the enemy will be trying to discourage us and remind us of the negative. The Holy Spirit will be encouraging. Friends should do this for each other.
Our identity will deliver us. It sets us up to become everything that God sees.
Our identity should shine like heaven.
We need a radiant idea of God, the church and ourselves. People may accuse us of being a big head. Better that then a pin head.
False humility is saying, I'm no good, Jesus is everything. That is nonsense. The Christ in us has the full expectation of glory.
When Simon recognized who Christ was, the very next thing that happened is Jesus said you are no longer Simon, you are Peter. Jesus revealed his identity to him
Define your negativity, allow your friends to call you on it. This will enable you to see it for what it is. A lie and then allow the Holy Spirit to kill it.
You have to confess “this is the truth of who I am" and all of heaven will meet you there and propel you into the place you need to be.
We are in a season of divine acceleration

Dreams

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, 'Someday I hope to be a great treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with an intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.'

Then the second tree said, 'Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take Kings and Queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. People will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull.'

Finally the third tree said, 'I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill, look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.'

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree, he said, 'This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter, and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree, the woodsman said, 'This looks like a strong tree. I will be able to sell it to the ship yard.' The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the men said, 'I don't need anything special from my tree, I'll take this one,' and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.

The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying Kings had come to an end.

The third tree was cut into large pieces, and left alone in the dark.

The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said 'Peace,' and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, God will give you great gifts.

Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.

We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.
